Crochet Leg Warmers – Free Pattern

This winter has been unusually cold for St. Louis, not that we are unused to single digits or even the occasional below zero, but its been 30 years since the area has seen cold like this.  That being said I don’t like turning up the thermostat just because the temperature plunges.  So they both the kids got an extra shirt, and Zach got his long under wear out.  However, I didn’t want to deal with so many layers on Delana (the whole diaper changing thing) so I decided to check out Pinterest for some inspiration and this is what I came up with.   I added the contrasting strips  mainly so you could tell which way was up, as the size difference of the top and bottom opening is not that different.

These will fit a Newborn up to 18 months.

  1. Do you have a pattern for adult leg warmers. I left mine at a function out of town during December, but they were store bought. I thought it shouldn’t be that difficult to make my own, but they would need to be dense enough to keep me warm. I love being able to wear them under a dress then take them off once inside where it’s toasty.
