Peaks and Valleys – Beanie

Well finally!  I figured out a pattern that I could photograph my little man in.  He was such a ham, and loved playing to the camera.
Peaks and Valleys Beanie

Ok how cool does the top of this hat look?!
Peaks and Valleys Beanie

This hat starts out using a continuous circle and then moved onto and Invisible Joining, and then your traditional slip stitch joining.  Which manages to produce a finished hat that has virtually no visible joining seam (and the crowd goes wild)!  Don’t get overwhelmed this is a great pattern to stretch your skills and after a few rows it repeats itself.
Peaks and Valley Cluster Drop StitchDont forget to add it to your Raverly Library

I love this hat, and I really love the way the crown of the hat turned out!  This yarn is so soft and warm, and felt wonderful gliding through my fingers!

Invisible Join – Tutorial by Lookatwhatimade – You will start your Next row In the Invisible Join as you would if you joined with a Slip Stitch

Special Notes:
I find that I have to reduce the size of my hook when I do the Crab Stitch or my stitching gets really loose.

  1. I really like your pattern!. I have been looking for one to make a beanie for my grandson. I think he would wear this. thank you so much.

  2. It was the top of this hat that caught my eye. I’m loving this stitch. It should be a challenge but I do love challenges.
