Peaks and Valleys Cowl

The idea for this stitch pattern honestly came to me as I stood at the store staring at this beautifully colored yarn from Red Heart with Wool, wondering what I could make with them to justify me buying it (as I already had a hand basket full of beautiful yarn).  Then it hit me!  I had been wanting to make myself a cowl and I had been wanting to try out the Cluster Drop stitch, so into the basket this beautiful yarn went.

I am so happy with this cowl!  I love this yarn also, it is so soft and warm!  And it felt great in my hands as I worked with it!  I think a few more items shall be made with the bit of yarn I have left!

  1. I love the Peaks & Valley Cowl….when ready can I please get a pattern sent via email….pdf file if available.

  2. I have to mention that I have such a terrible time with twisting my yarn when joining a long chain in a circle. What a major pain. I am so glad that you made that tutorial. Thanks so much. I will have to book mark that so that I can return and watch it again and again. My question is, in all your cowl patterns you have written it into your patterns? Thanks so much for all your brain work!! Linda

    • I have not written it into my patterns and will probably just add links to the tutorial now that I have it finished

  3. I love the look of this stitch and I’d like to make an afghan using this stitch. Just wondering how many stitches to cast on.

    Thanks

    • This is crochet so you don’t cast on stitches, make the base chain (in multiples listed) as long as necessary to get the desired width you are wanting. It would be a beautiful and warm afghan!
