Lacy Cowl

This is a Lacy Crochet pattern review

I first saw this Infinity Scarf pattern by Lacy Crochet on Pintrest and fell in love!Lacy Cowl

This is a really quick pattern to work up as you repeat 2 rows for most of the entire pattern.  The pattern is originally designed to be an infinity scarf, however; at the time I found this my mom had been requesting a cowl!  So after reading over the pattern, I figured out that the stitch pattern was a 12 stitch repeat.  So as I added width to the pattern I made sure that I added in increments of 12 stitches.  I used Loops and Thread Impeccable for my daughters cowl with a K hook, used less than one skein.  Where for my mom’s I use Loops and Thread Charisma with a K hook, but it required 3 skeins.Lacy Cowl

Don’t forget, you can use whatever type of yarn suits you in whatever color you like best…. and whatever hook you prefer and make it as wide or narrow (simply + or -12) as you want!!SONY DSC

To close the cowl did not join the two ends together as instructed in the original pattern, but instead I picked out 4 buttons that were small enough to fit through the holes, but large enough to keep secure.  Sewed them to one size of the project and simply closed it by pushing the buttons through the opposite CH spaces to secure.  Lacy Cowl
So anyway, I love this pattern from Lacy Crochet and will definitely be keeping it in my to-go-to arsenal of patterns that work up quickly!, just in case (to date I have made 6 so far) 🙂Lacy Cowl
