Work using 2 strands of thread together!

With hook on the right side of project and yarn (with beginning loop already formed) on the wrong side, place hook through any CH2 space (from front to back) and place beginning loop on hook and pull hook with loop on it to the right side.  You will still hold the yarn on the wrong side of the project.

Ring of Petals – Barefoot Sandals

After making the Circle Foot Jewelry and the Circle Belt, I had a few left over plastic rings and decided that another pair of quick super simple barefoot sandals is in order.Ring of Petals - KatiDCreations
This quick working sandal is so simple to make and is a great way to use up that last little bit of crochet thread that you just cant bring yourself to get rid of!  This is a relatively easy pattern, and a beginner with a small bit of crochet experience should be able to accomplish these with no problem.

Hipster Belt - KatiDCreationsDont forget to add it to your favorites it Raverly!

You ever have that moment when an idea ‘falls’ into your lap?  Well that is exactly what happened here!  I was packing my bag for a 6 hour drive and knew I was wanting to try to do a belt design….but nothing in was coming to mind.  (fast forward) Sitting in the car and still no ideas, and the fact that I was just sitting there doing nothing was making me nuts.  So I grabbed out a sketch book and began doodling.  At first it was looking like a traditional granny square, but then I figured why not try a flower looking design?!

So with that idea in mind I took off running….so to speak.  The first square took a bit to get the look right but once that was figured out the project moved quickly and if needed it could be accomplished in a day.

The granny squares join as you work so you don’t have to worry about messing with all the joining at the end.  I did my best to work the ends in as I worked which really helped eliminate the number of ends.

Tie: Join in Picot and CH desired length and finish off. Repeat remaining 2 Picots on that side.  And repeat in the 3 Picots on other end of belt.  You can see I pulled all tied all 3 CH lengths in a tiny knot, this is not necessary but I preferred the finished look
